Air conditioning is fully operational on plain highway stretches (such as between
Delhi/Chandigarh and Kiratpur). Once entering steep uphill mountain stretches in
Himachal, drivers switch off the AC to ensure optimum vehicle engine power and climbing
safety. The cool mountain air provides pleasant natural ventilation throughout the
journey.
